Kidney Transplant

A kidney transplant is a surgical procedure in which a healthy kidney from a donor is implanted into a person whose kidneys are no longer working properly. This procedure is usually performed in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or other severe kidney diseases that cannot be adequately treated with other medical treatments.
